CHispPA Mentoring/Scholaship Program
The mentorship/scholarship program is designed to offer financial assistance to local Latino college students while providing them with a mentor and a program that will stimulate their succees.
- Under represented & disadvantaged low-income Latino students
The focus of this programs is to provide each mentee with the right type of coaching, role modeling and stimulus needed to successfully navigate their college careers.
We will work with local high schools districts’ superintendents, Latino college preps, principals, counselors and other suggested staff in order to identify, interview and recruit graduating high school seniors.
We will also work with local Deans, college professors and college clubs and other suggested staff to also ensure that we identify, interview and recruit interested college juniors and sophomores.
We will proactively develop and implement a recruitment campaign designated to identify appropriate professionals to mentor for the previously mentioned mentees.
We will provide our mentees with a variety of professional development workshops and seminars in the following areas:
- Resume Writing
- Interviewing Skills
- Public Speaking
- Leadership Effectiveness
- Work/Life Balance
- Financial Planning
- Time Management
The scholarships are directly tied to the successful completion of the mentorship program
